This bear appears to have been killed by what is likely her daily source of water. With weapons able to kill over from 200 – 300 yards it is no longer necessary to stalk an animal in order to be close enough for a shot. A hunter may simply wait near a natural food or water source for their prey to enter firing range. The victim is a Brown bear.
